ChaNaH

This initiative seeks to create a fresh, ground-level entry point for women to connect with the three mitzvos of ChaNaH: Challah, Nidah, and Hadlakas Neiros—mitzvos that are particularly pertinent to Jewish women.

The CHANA PROJECT is an innovative, appealingly constructed discussion-based social learning experience that can be used in many different ways, in multiple settings and is guaranteed to bring excellent discussion to the table. It can be studied in pairs, small groups, or one large discussion group with very little, to almost no preparation required of the instructor.

We want to encourage Jewish women to become closely engaged with these mitzvos on their own terms, so that the bond they develop is more personal, more profound, and more lasting.

How does it work?
Each student receives a beautifully designed and elegantly packaged set of cards based on the mitzvos of CHaNaH
For each mitzvah, the cards comprise three elements
an opening “What do you think?” question
a text addressing the mitzvah
a concluding set of “Reflect & Share” questions
The above mentioned elements are all designed to encourage participants to explore the meanings, messages and relevance of the thought provoking texts and most importantly, to stimulate and share their thoughts in a comfortable environment
Engaging, meaningful discussion guaranteed to follow
Very little – if any – preparation required on your part
