LESSON 1: MYTH BUSTERS OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS
Lesson One discusses three interesting myths pertaining to biblical trivia and systematically debunks them. It dispels mistaken beliefs associated with Judaism that have come from Christian sources, often through the medium of art.
LESSON 2: KOSHER FACT AND FICTION
Lesson Two will address various misconceptions related to kosher food. The common thread among the sections in this lesson is that they pertain to the interface of Judaism and diet, and are interesting, informative, and personally relevant.
LESSON 3: BODY TABOOS
Lesson Three debunks various myths about Judaism’s view of the human body and demonstrates how Judaism seeks to find holiness within the physical, as opposed to eschewing it.
LESSON 4: LIFE AFTER LIFE
In Lesson Four, we will explore Judaism’s perspective regarding the soul, Heaven, and Hell. The lesson contrasts frequently held beliefs about the afterlife with Judaism’s view, and debunks some common myths concerning these topics.
LESSON 5: FANTASTICAL FORCES
In Lesson Five, we will debunk some common myths about the supernatural. Students will explore Judaism’s view on the subject of angels, Satan, and the evil eye. Ultimately, students will come to realize that the most powerful force in the universe is their freedom of choice, and that G-d awaits a reciprocal relationship driven by mankind’s meaningful effort.
LESSON 6: THE MESSIAH MYSTERY
In Lesson Six, we will address some of the myths and mysteries that surround the subject of Mashiach and Redemption. Students will not only gain insight and awareness of this often misunderstood topic, but also a eeper appreciation of how relevant Mashiach is to their personal lives.
